Puzzle #7: 1989 in Gaming
The 16-bit console era kicked off as Sega’s Genesis and NEC’s TurboGrafx-16 launched in North America. In Dundee, Scotland, DMA Design (later to become Rockstar) released Lemmings, an innovative puzzler that sold 55,000 copies on its first day. This lovable game about the small creatures navigating obstacles went on to become a global hit!
