Three free photo-editing tools! 

(which ends on 28 Feb) brings you a trio of applications from German software team Franzis. Their apps are often found on magazine cover discs (which are still a thing in some countries) but this is a truly free deal 🙂  These versions are at least one version behind the current releases, and they’re ‘standard’ editions rather the ‘pro’ versions, but if they appeal to your photographic leanings they’re worth a closer look!

Note: You need to supply your email address to access the downloads. B&W projects and Color projects are PC and Mac / Cutout is PC only.

Envato / videohive freebies for February

We looked in detail at the massive Envato website last month, and as usual they’re giving away a small, diverse collection of assets this month. Our favourites are the ‘technological calm’ audio track and the ‘glitch lower thirds’ pack for After Effects. You’ll need to create a free account to make them yours!

Unity Asset Store Deals

With the new lunar year starting just a few days ago, Unity is offering 2 big bundles of assets for sale with significant discounts. The DARING mega-bundle and the ROARING bundle each offer a selection of up to 19 assets. If you’re new to Unity (we’ll be delving into it later this year), be aware these bundles are only a bargain if you have plans to use at least some of the assets. If you’re already working with Unity, fill yer boots 🙂
