Just for fun, we used the awesome TOPAZ VIDEO ENHANCE to apply AI upscaling to the above video, using its suggested settings for this individual file. Here’s the result, upscaled to 1280×960 resolution using the ‘Artemis low quality’ profile. It’s worked wonders removing the blocky compression artefacts though a significant amount of ‘texture’ has also been lost. Note we’re using the TRIAL version of the software hence the watermark.
