Create an illustration of festive gift wrap that seamlessly blends the modern, creative world of video editing with holiday festivity, prominently featuring a sleek, modern laptop as the central element. Surround the laptop with dynamic, flowing visuals such as digital film strips, editing interface icons, and abstract timeline elements, all woven together to create a cohesive pattern. Utilize a contemporary color palette, incorporating shades like electric blues, vibrant reds, and metallic silvers to enhance the high-tech and celebratory feel. Add subtle festive touches, such as pixelated snowflakes or digital stars, to merge the digital theme with holiday warmth. The overall design should reflect innovation and creativity, perfect for wrapping gifts for tech-savvy individuals and video editing enthusiasts.
June 2024 was Video Editing month!
Back in June we presented two parallel explainer series introducing how to create a short video using Adobe Premiere Pro or Vegas Pro. Head back there now if you missed out! Here’s what we covered…
- Getting started with Vegas Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adding video clips to a timeline and re-ordering them
- Adding transitions and fades
- Adding text and audio
- Exporting a sequence as an MP4 video file
Premiere Pro updates
As the Adobe creative suite develops to incorporate more AI assistance, the most recent update incorporates new features via its Firefly AI video model, including ‘generative extend’, which extends an existing video clip by up to two seconds (for example to better match the soundtrack or fill a short, problematic gap in footage):
Vegas Pro updates
Vegas Pro has also seen the release of ‘point 0’ releases this year, with the latest being Vegas Pro 22. It may not surprise you to find that the ‘AI assistant’ gets top billing with this release!
Where to next for ‘traditional’ digital video editors?
We asked Leonardo.ai to conjure up ‘A visual representation of the future of traditional NLE video editing in 2049, 25 years from now’ Using their ”Concept Art’ engine and the ‘Game Concept Cartoon’ preset…
Here are the results returned. (Note the captions shown were AI -generated when the images were added to this page – They are NOT the original prompts used to create the images).
